About the Dream of a Lifetime Lottery and CHEO
Your Support is Worth So Much
Baby Sarika’s parents found out she had a “broken heart” when she was still in the womb. Her arrival had to be carefully planned and she had an operation to fix her heart when she was just four and a half days old. That same night Sarika’s blood pressure plummeted and she went into cardiac arrest! The doctor on call did compressions on her tiny chest and Dr. Maharajh re-opened the incision to monitor her heart for swelling. To her parent’s awe, just six and a half weeks later, Sarika left her CHEO family to return home. Her parents commend the CHEO staff for their excellent care and support and feel they can’t possibly say thank you enough for saving their baby’s life. Your Dream of a Lifetime ticket purchase helps CHEO treat thousands of children, like Sarika, who rely on CHEO and helps the Foundation fulfil its mission which is: “To further the physical, mental and social well-being of children and their families in eastern Ontario and western Quebec by raising, managing, and disbursing funds.”
Thank you and good luck!

Dear Friend of SickKids,

Princess Margaret’s Welcome Home Sweepstakes

Susan McLean Woodburn, a Canadian artist, is grateful every day for the skill and humanity of the staff at The Princess Margaret.
Her basal cell carcinoma (skin cancer) presented a major challenge for doctors. Susan underwent 16 surgeries in six years.
Dr. Stefan Hofer, an internationally acclaimed reconstructive surgeon, specializes in cancer challenges like Susan’s. Outside the operating
room, Dr. Hofer leads a laboratory focused on tissue engineering—where a patient’s own tissue cells are cultivated and grown in the
laboratory for transplant back into the body where needed. This is an example of the level of expertise that has been attracted to
The Princess Margaret—one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world.

Your ticket purchase will help to accelerate research and translate scientific discoveries into better ways to prevent,
diagnose and treat cancer.
